Coined as one of Ireland’s most celebrated and gifted musicians,violinist  Patrick Rafter will headline Woodstock Gardens on Friday, 24th September. He will be joined by his parents and guests on the night, Paddy and Maura D Rafter

SIOBHÁN ARMSTRONG ACCOMPANIED BY RONAN BROWNE

Siobhán Armstrong plays pre-1800 repertory on reconstructions of medieval to 18th century instruments performing and recording early church-, chamber-music and baroque opera with some of the most respected directors, ensembles, orchestras and opera companies in the field.

Ronan Browne made his international name in the 1990s as a founding member of both the Afro Celt Sound System and Riverdance but his heart lies firmly in Ireland's ancient music.  

 

MARK ANTHONY MCGRATH & BOBBY CAREY

Mark Anthony McGrath's guitar interpretations have become a regular feature on RTE Lyric FM and other similar radio stations throughout Europe including tracks from his albums "The Weiss Machine," "Champagne and Onions," to name a few. Described as "unquestionably gifted" by Hot Press, Mark lends his unique style to all of his work . Bobbie Carey, a native of Rhode Island, has been a part of the Kilkenny music scene since her arrival in 2000. Bobbie, classically trained, transitions from folk, blues, soul, jazz and classical easily and has a unique style. Bobbie recently released her new album, "Throw Away Girl" which can be found on Spotify, YouTube, etc and tracks from it have been played on KCLR and Waterford radio. Mark and Bobbie teamed up to create their show "Blue and Beyond" which includes mainly songs of Joni Mitchell's "Blue" album as well as other well known favourites. The show finds a balance of their individual styles without losing the core beauty of Joni's songs. 

HOT4 JAZZ QUARTET

HOT4 Jazz Quartet - 4 piece (piano/double bass/drums/vocal) play jazz standards in the style of swing/bossa/latin/funk etc. Playing festivals, corporate events, and a Sunday residency at Left Bank Kilkenny.

AMBER AND THE BEAR

Amber and the Bear is a seven piece jazz band based in Kilkenny. This includes drums, keyboard, bass, guitar, clarinet, trombone and trumpet. A professional jazz band that has played Electric Picnic, Seasessions and  local festivals such as Spraoi Festival, Waterford and Kilkenny outdoor music festivals. Amber and the Bear are in the process of recording their first album at Crossroads Studio, Kilkenny. This album is a narration story which is based and takes place in Kilkenny City set to jazz and classical music fusion much like "Peter and the Wolf" by Prokofiev.
