Following their recent Late Late Show appearance Irish vocal icon, Moya Brennan, and accordion maestro, Liam O’Connor combine their superlative talents in what promises to be a not-to-be-missed evening of music and atmosphere.
Moya’s haunting vocals, revered by fans around the world, combine with Liam’s breath-taking instrumental skill (he has been decribed as ‘the Jimi Hendrix of the accordion’!).
Their music manages to not only touch the heart and but pulses with true Irish vigour at the same time.
Liam toured with Lord of the Dance in its original production and has a mountain of credits and recordings alongside his regular performances at national sporting events. Moya is best known as the lead singer of Clannad and was the recipient of RTE Radio One Folk Award’s Lifetime Achievement in 2019.
This concert marks a ground-breaking coming together of two prominent Irish musical families – Moya’s daughter and son, Aisling and Paul play guitar and bass while her husband, Tim, plays cello. Liam’s daughter, Saoirse, and son, Oisin, complete the line up on keyboards and drums.
