At the beginning of the first lockdown in April 2020 The Watergate commissioned Philip Cullen, a Thomastown based artist to make a piece of work which focused on his response to the pandemic. He created ‘Time’.

Philip Cullen takes us on the journey he faced throughout the development of six unique chapters resulting in the creation of ‘Time’ during the first lockdown of 2020.

‘Time’ is an artist’s response to the global lockdown. It is a study of the intricate beauty of nature. It examines this and challenges us to consider our behaviour; how we think, how we behave towards nature and the earth, how we consume and what we prioritise.
