Local emerging and professional musicians will take to stages at three fantastic venues in the coming weeks as the sounds of classical, jazz, pop, rock, indie, folk and traditional music will take place across beautiful city and county settings.

September Sounds outdoor concerts take place in Woodstock Gardens, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre and the courtyard of Butler Gallery in Kilkenny City.

The concerts are all free but ticketed and attendees are encouraged, if they can, to make a voluntary donation to the great organisation 'Minding Creative Minds’ which was established to offer a free 24/7 wellbeing and support programme for the Irish Creative Sector.

Kilkenny Arts Office,  the Watergate Theatre and the LLPPS team are delighted to be showcasing some of Kilkenny's finest musicians this weekend in our beautiful outdoor venues at Woodstock Gardens, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre and Butler Gallery.

Please note:

  • ALL concerts are fully booked. If your plans have changed and you do not plan to attend, please contact frontofhouse@watergatetheatre.com as soon as possible. There is a waiting list for all concerts.
  • We are encouraging concert goers to bring a picnic.
  • Please do not bring any glass items into the venue - please decant into plastic containers or similar
  • There will be food vendors at each of the venues. Concerts are outdoors, please dress for Irish weather!
  • Car pooling: We are encouraging pods or groups travelling to concerts over the weekend to car pool where possible.
